Volunteering options :
- Take part in food rescue operations to prevent shortages in the Israeli market.
- Sort, pack and distribute goods for civil and military personnel.
- Work with Israeli people in different sectors to ensure continued workflow across the country
- Bring joy and hope to soldiers and others in Israeli Hospitals
What’s included :
- Fully subsidized airfare
- $100 A week partial food subsidy
- Accommodation in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Haifa or elsewhere with safe rooms
- Volunteering + transportation to and from
- Educational & social programming
- Potential meetings with Israeli peers
- Support Staff
What’s NOT included :
- There are no additional flight subsidies
- Meals and Snacks
- Travel insurance
What are the costs involved?
- $50 non refundable application fee
- $550 program fee (fully refundable if you cancel more than 65 days before departure)
- Domestic travel to departure city
- $7+/- for your ETA-IL travel authorization (for those who require. Click here for more info.)
What if I want to buy my own flight?
- Yes, you can purchase your own flight
- If you do, you pay only the $50 non-refundable application fee
- You are responsible for the full price of your ticket. There are no flight subsidies.
Eligibility Criteria :
- Applicants between 18-50 years old – regardless of previous Israel Program experience
(For special considerations, please email us at info@mayanotisrael.com.) - Identify as Jewish
- Basic knowledge of English (unless otherwise noted in the program description)
- Have a valid Passport and Israeli travel authorization (ETA-IL, Visa, etc)
- Have a passport valid for 90 days-six months from the end date of your trip (depending on your travel authorization)
** Participation in this program does not affect future eligibility for Birthright Israel programs **
Application Process :
- Submit your application & choose your program dates
- Schedule your Zoom interview with one of our staff
- If accepted, receive an official acceptance email and pay $50 USD application fee (non-refundable)
- Pay your $550 program fee (fully refundable if you cancel before 65 days prior to departure)
OR purchase your own ticket (no subsidies for tickets purchased on your own) - Upload additional documents that we require (e.g. passport, medical form, travel authorization)
